Beginning today until June 1st, there will be Open Registration for the annual Chapter/Convocation (July 16-19) which will be held in St. Louis, MO this year. Attending a Convocation is one of the best ways to investigate whether or not God is calling you to pursue a vocation with OEF. During these days the Sisters and Brothers live in community, share meals, worship together, share news of their lives and ministries, engage with theological study and discernment for the year ahead, and conduct the essential business of the Order. The core of the experience is the Saturday liturgy with rites of passage where postulants are welcomed, novice and lifetime vows are received, and the whole assembly rededicates our lives to following Jesus in the little way. Registration and payment can all be completed on-line if you use Paypal, or you can receive an invoice and pay for your spot with a check. Space fills up quickly, don’t delay if you want to participate.
Principle of the Day
9. As members of the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans, with a gentle and courteous spirit, we accept all people as a gift of the Lord and an image of Christ. A sense of community will make us joyful and ready to place ourselves on an equal basis with all people, especially with the lowly for whom we shall strive to create conditions of life worthy of people redeemed by Christ.-
